Barbados Beaches
Barbados is surrounded by more than 70 miles of glorious tropical sandy beaches, below is a breif guide to some of those beaches.
On the Barbados West Coast, washed by the Caribbean Sea and blue turquise calm water.
Mullins Beach. Located right on the Barbados West Coast main road, with a beach bar and restaurant right on the beach. A superb beach with good swimming and snorkeling, and blue turquise water.
Sandy Lane Beach. Very scenic bay with many trees. Superb beach with good swimming and snorkeling, and blue turquise water.
On the Barbados South Coast, blue turquise water with small to medium waves.
Accra Beach. Very popular with a car park. Lots of people, lots of activity, and lots of food and drink. Good for body surfing and just watching people enjoying Barbados.
Sandy Beach. Off the Worthing main road. Shallow, calm waters and a picturesque lagoon, ideal for families. Lots of activity and lots of food and drink, especially at weekends when Bajan's flock to the beaches.
Casuarina Beach. Off the Maxwell Coast Road. Larger beach with lots of breeze and bigger waves. Good for windsurfing.
On the Barbados South East Coast, big waves.
Foul Bay. A long, wide expanse of beach on a ruggedly attractive stretch of coastline with fishing boats. Take your own food and drink recommended.
Crane Beach. Park at the Crane Beach Hotel or down a narrow lane at the opposite far end of the beach. The cliffs, white pink sand, and incredible water make this a spectacular beach. Excellent for body surfing. The Crane Beach Hotel offers food and drink with a spectacular and magnificent view over the beach.
Bottom Bay. North of Sam Lords Castle. A charming cove that is everyones dream of a tropical beach. Nestled in the cliffs, a grove of coconut palms, a cave, white sand and unbelievable aquamarine sea. Recommend you take a picnic.
On the Barbados East Coast, rough sea with the biggest waves.
Bathsheba and Cattlewash. Miles and miles of untouched beach along the islands most wild, hilly and beautiful strech of coast. Washed by the Atlantic in its full glory, it is a spectacle not to be missed. Excellent for surfing and walking. Swimming is extremely dangerous here.
